Fountains

In 1793, four fountains were constructed at Rynok Square — one on every corner of the square. Each fountain has an octagonal bowl; in the center of the bowl, there is an ancient mythology statue such as the God of the sea Neptune and his wife Amphitrita, the Goddess of the hunt Diana and the hero Adonis.

A historic black building with many architectural elements. Why the building became black? Maybe you have your idea? Scientists shared so many versions that they cannot choose one single common version. The house was built in 1577. Its architecture is referred to as ‘Renaissance’ architecture. The building was attributed to Petro Krasovsky. Today, there is the Lviv Historical Museum inside the mysterious Black Stone House.

Latin Cathedral

For several years, the building had been reconstructed, restored and decorated with new stylistic elements. It combines the features of the Baroque, the Renaissance, and the Secession style. And what about you? What can you see here?

Armenian Cathedral

Look at the ground. These slabs are Armenians’ burial places. People say that the human soul leaves the earth only after its name disappears from a headstone. Anyone who walks over these gravestones at the entrance to the Armenian Cathedral brings dozens of Armenians closer to heaven. It is a unique piece of architectural of the XIV-XV centuries. It's a small piece of the East in the middle of Europe.
